Krohn is a Port house founded in 1865 by two young Norwegian cousins, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn. The house is known for its Colheitas — single-harvest tawny Ports, with reserves dating back to the 19th century — and Vintage Ports from its flagship property, Quinta do Retiro Novo in the Rio Torto Valley.
The range includes White, Ruby and Tawny Port, Porto Lágrima, LBV (2017, 2019), a 10-Year-Old Tawny, Vintage Ports (2011, 2017, 2022) and Colheitas (2003, 2006, 2014), alongside still Douro DOC wines under both the Krohn and Quinta do Retiro Novo labels.
Recognitions include 91-92 points from Wine Enthusiast, 87-90 from Robert Parker, and Gold, Silver and Best in Show at the London Wine Competition — a well-regarded Port house for specialist and hospitality importers.
