Domaine d’Aubigny is a small Burgundy estate in Aluze, on land farmed by Cistercian monks from the Abbey of Maizières since 1132 — two centuries before the famous Clos de Vougeot. The domaine was relaunched in 2021 after years of neglect.
The 20-hectare vineyard, within one contiguous 18.5-hectare block, includes Rully Village, Bourgogne Blanc, two monopoles, and the domaine’s flagship, Mercurey 1er Cru Champs Martin. Winemaking combines traditional barrels, 50HL vats and 15HL terracotta amphorae, with minimal sulphites added only after analysis.
This is a prestige, allocation-scale domaine rather than a volume producer — well suited to specialist importers seeking rare Burgundy crus with genuine history, rather than large-volume distributors.
