López Morenas is a family-owned beverage group based in Fuente del Maestre, Badajoz, producing Cava through its subsidiary Bodegas Bonaval in Almendralejo — the only municipality in Extremadura authorised for DO Cava production. Founded in 1943, the group has grown into one of the region’s largest producers, combining traditional méthode traditionnelle Cava production with a broad range of still and sparkling wines. Based in Fuente del Maestre and Almendralejo (Extremadura), López Morenas produces Cava under DO Cava, alongside DO Ribera del Guadiana wines, from Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada grapes. The group’s facilities span more than 65,000 m² with 14 packaging lines, producing approximately 4 million bottles of Cava per year, and export to more than 90 countries including the UK, Mexico, Japan and China. The range extends beyond Cava (Brut, Extra Dry and other styles) to still varietal wines, DO Ribera del Guadiana wines, frizzante and sangría, and the premium Valdeorite Selection line.
